#AGGF2018 Event: Rwanda Green Fund – Investing in Green Growth: The Potential of E-Mobility

Date & Time: 28 November 2018 | 16:30-18:30

Location: Kigali Convention Centre

Session Overview

As part of the Africa Green Growth Forum, the Rwanda Green Fund (FONERWA), KfW and partners will hold an event dedicated to advancing e-mobility solutions and private sector green growth. The event will be an opportunity to highlight the role of the fund as an enabler of green growth and the potential of Rwanda’s nascent e-mobility sector as part of the country’s wider green urbanisation programme.

To demonstrate Rwanda’s green growth best practices, the event will feature a display of electric motorbikes and the awarding of successful investments from the Rwanda Green Fund’s Ninth Call for Proposals. The event will also feature e-mobility initiatives in Africa as part of experience sharing and to catalyze technology driven knowledge management to facilitate adoption of green urbanization practices across the continent. The event will also include an exhibit of some of the Fund’s investments – demonstrating the wide variety of projects that financed over the last five years. It will be followed by a Green Drinks Kigali side event on Green Urbanization organized in partnership with KfW.
